The TSLG is a nonprofit organization with members including Stroke Medical Directors, Stroke Program Coordinators, Neurologists, Neurosurgeons, Interventional Neuroradiologists, Emergency Physicians, Hospitalists, Nurses, EMS leaders, Therapists, and community stroke champions.
This team has been formed to ensure the best possible level of treatment and care for stroke patients in Arizona. This interdisciplinary team works towards improving training for health providers on stroke related issues.
This team collaborates with a primary goal to reach a larger scope in Arizona that individually we could not attain. We will consistently attempt to deliver and maintain the best practices involving the full continuum of stroke care in Arizona through partnership & idea sharing with other Primary Stroke Centers and Stroke champions.
Our central focus is to work together to improve stroke awareness, improve the recognition of signs and symptoms of stroke, to increase the usage and activation of EMS for the treatment of stroke, to facilitate a rapid transfer to one of our Primary Stroke Centers, to initiate fast treatment & management of acute stroke patients, and to commence rehabilitation & other support immediately to enhance stroke survivorship.
The TSLT strives to provide top quality care that is delivered through continuous collaboration, and creation of educational opportunities for the community, EMS, Neurology, Emergency Departments, Neurosurgery, Radiology, Interventional Neuroradiology, Laboratory, Pharmacy, Neuroscience Nursing, and Rehabilitative medicine professionals.
